There are 4 models of Culebra's, see what fits your needs.
1) The Culebra is paddled R2 style. The cross tubes on top of the cat keep the main tubes ridgid in all water conditions. This boat can be unlaced for even easier transport. The Culebra measures 11 ft long, 65 inches wide, and weighs 46 lbs. It rolls up into a package that can be smaller than 33 X 12 X 24, depending on how well you roll it. Remember to take the cam straps off between the cross tubes and the main tubes during transport.
2) The Outfitter Culebra is the same length and width dimension as the Culebra Grande. The difference is that the floor is longer, and the cones are blunted. This gives more cargo and people capacity. Polyester Base fabric double bottoms, multiple chambers, and strategically located self rescue handles and D rings make this boat more versatile than any self bailer on the market. It works well for 2 to 7 paddlers, and is a great self support boat for 2 to 4 paddlers on multi day trips. A small light weight frame converts it into an oar raft. You owe it to yourself to check this boat and the Culebra Grande out.
3) The Culebra Grande has been one of our favorites for over 4 years. In 2006 we made a huge performance improvement with the introduction of the foot thwart concept . It is our favorite because this and the Outfitter Culebra are the only blow and go catarafts for more than 2 people on the market today. Polyester Base fabric double bottoms, multiple chambers, and strategically located self rescue handles and D rings make this boat more versatile than any self bailer on the market. It works well for 2 to 5 paddlers, and is a great self support boat for 2 or 3 paddlers. An optional small light weight frame converts it into an oar raft.
4) The Rescue Culebra is also known as a Stretch Culebra. The idea here is to add two feet to the back of a standard Culebra. There are a lot of extra handles and d rings on this boat that may not be needed if you are not a rescue professional. This product is in a state of constant redefinition. Rescue organizations all over the US are constantly giving us feedback about the potential on this boat. Therefore there are small modifications that are currently taking place.
